The Kentucky Department of Revenue has issued new sales tax rules passed by Kentucky House Bill 8. This bill states that beginning January 1, 2023 only a person's "domicile"/primary residence will be exempt from sales tax for all utilities. Hardin County Water District No. 1 has reviewed our customer base and has sent letters to those customers with more than one account to complete this form. For those customers who only have a single point of water and/or service will not have to complete the form unless a triggering event occurs after January 1, 2023.
