NOTICE OF INTENT TO FILE APPLICATION & PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING
Hardin County Water District No. 1 intends to file an application for federal financial assistance with the U. S. Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Rural Utilities Service. The Pirtle Spring Upgrade project will include replacing the high service pumps with higher output capacity pumps and expanding the clearwell in order to bring the Water Treatment Plant’s effluent capacity up to its maximum water withdrawal capacity of 5.98 MGD. A public meeting for comments will be held at 10:00 am on June 23, 2026 at the Hardin County Water District No. 1 Office at 1400 Rogersville Road, Radcliff, KY 40160 for the purpose of providing general information to the public regarding the proposed Pirtle Spring Upgrade Project. The public is invited to attend and comment on such issues as economic and environmental impacts, service area, alternatives to the project or any other pertinent issues. Comments or questions regarding this application should be submitted to the General Manager at the address above.
